The Pollard Performance method
Assess. Understand. Train. Retest.
A simple process for making better training decisions and measuring whether they are working.
Start With an AssessmentAssess · Understand · Train · Retest
From Assessment to Training
Step 1
Assess
Understand your goals, training history, injury history, movement and current physical capacity.
Step 2
Understand
Identify your primary physical priority, existing strengths and the qualities that should be maintained.
Step 3
Train
Build a practical program around your body, available time, equipment, golf schedule and recovery.
Step 4
Retest
Measure progress, determine what worked and update the program when your physical priorities change.
The principle
Training Should Have a Reason
Assessment helps identify what deserves attention. Programming then develops those qualities using established strength and conditioning principles.
Progress is reviewed over time. If the priority changes, the program changes with it.

Physical Preparation, Not Swing Coaching
Pollard Performance develops physical qualities such as strength, power, mobility and robustness. Technical swing coaching remains the role of a PGA professional.
Where useful, physical preparation can sit alongside the work of golf coaches and other qualified practitioners.
